Who Is An Endodontist?

An Endodontist is a dentist who specializes in saving teeth by performing root canal treatment and surgeries. Endodontists become specialists by completing fours years of dental school followed by an additional two or more years of advanced specialty training in the treatment of disease of the dental pulp. Once the additional training is complete, they receive an official Endodontic Certificate. They perform routine as well as difficult and very complex procedures, including root canal treatment, root canal re-treatment and endodontic microsurgery. Please visit American Association of Endodontists for additional information on who we are! https://www.aae.org/

Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures with well over 14 million performed every year. This simple treatment can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for dental implants or bridges. For more information on root canal treatment at our Bend OR endodontic office, please visit our root canal page.

Root Canal Surgery

Endodontic (root canal) surgery can be used to locate fractures or hidden canals that do not appear on x-rays but still manifest pain in the tooth. Damaged root surfaces or the surrounding bone may also be treated with this procedure. The most common surgery used to save damaged teeth is an apicoectomy or root-end resection. For more information on root canal surgery at our Bend OR endodontic office, please visit our root canal surgery page.
